Insect photography - The thrill it holds for me
Nature never ceases to amaze me. Insect photography has become a new passion, while macro photography is still a subject I have to master. The variety of insects around us is amazing, I have existed these many years unaware of such beauty around me. If you ask me the names of these insects, I would draw a blank, but all I can tell you is that I stand amazed. Most of us think we have seen it all and done it all as we grow older, not for me, my eyes are opening to a wonderful new world of photography and nature, which is always loaded with surprise and beauty. As I open my eyes to the world around me, my love for creation and all creatures is growing stronger and stronger. This is a beautiful world, come take a peep at the macro Insect photography that I have put together in this photo gallery for you. Don't forget to tell me how you felt.
The electric blue bug - Macro Insect photography
This bug with electric blue stripes on a black body was buzzing around me until I got it to settle on this grass broom. Amazed as I was when I saw the picture, I decided to make a gallery just for this one guy, I have tried to find what kind of a bug this is, but to no avail. Help me, if you will, to identify this beautiful creature.
Insect photography - stunning nature
This Army general was found one day on my bonsai pot, the plant was sadly eaten up and did not survive his mighty appetite but, I did get my revenge, I captured him in digital waves to remain my prisoner for all eternity!! The camouflage was awesome, I may not have seen him eat my plant until it was almost bare. This baldheaded army general in army fatigues has been a fascinating catch for me.
Camouflage at its best - Insect photography
You missed him, didn't you? I found this leaf insect in the park, I wonder how I even managed to notice him. A garden pest alright, but I have no alternative but to admire his beauty!!!
Caterpillar, I hate caterpillars. They are my greatest enemies. I love plants and these annoy me to no end. Here I am, honoring this enemy of mine on HubPages.. because I can see beyond what he does to my plants. He is beautiful in his own way... my plants just happen to be on his menu. Cheer up sofs.. all creatures great and small have a purpose!!!
Leaf insect Macro photography
Stunning! Resembles a rhinoceros doesn't it? Huge, massive eater, another garden pest, that I rarely see around my garden. I was happy to catch him and take a closer look. Now, I am a great admirer, a fan of his!! Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder ;)
Macro photography - ants on a flower
I would have never noticed all this if not for this new found love of mine, macro insect photography. The number of ants on this tiny stalk of flower made me wonder what they found there. A closer look revealed that, there were eggs another insect had laid on the stalk of this flower, these ants apparently found them pretty tasty.
This moth hung on to a flower and looked like a dried leaf. I casually pulled it off and found to my surprise he was no leaf. In my lair no one goes Scot-free, he paid his price!!
Bee on a blue flower - macro photography
